Senorita Drlik does an outstanding job teaching Spanish to all of the St. Hugo students. Students had a fun Cinco DeMayo party this past Friday as they enjoyed all sorts of Spanish food. Senorita Drlik’s students have excelled in Spanish at the high school level.

Excellent job to former St. Hugo students who placed on their National Spanish Exam: Bronze Metal-Rachel Rook (9) and Honorable Mentions-Evan Wells (10) and Elena Schwegman (9).

Congrats to Mrs. Wachowiak and the girls’ softball team on a great season! The girls won their final game against Marist 8-1 this past Sunday. Defensively the pitchers had a combined 19Ks in 7 innings. The girls managed to keep the Fighting Irish to only one run. Offensively, lead-off batter, Keira Maher, hit her first home run with a line drive out to left center. It was a great day for all as many grabbed some RBIs. Isabella Denipoti lead the RBI’s with 2 and Maher, Abby Hannan, Anastacia Wachowiak, Lily Mojares, Natalie Stanczak, Addison Smidt all had one each. The girls ended their season on top with an 11 – 1 record. We await to hear from CYO to confirm if we won our league.
