ALICE Training Officer Chris Furlong will be offering an ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter and Evacuate) training Thursday evening, April 26, at the church from 6:30-8:30. Officer Furlong is the officer in charge of safety for our school. All of the teachers and staff have already gone through this training, and now we are encouraging all school families to attend the training in order to help us reinforce safety awareness at home, and at school.

Advanced Math Please look for 7th-grade students to come home with information regarding a new advanced math program at Brother Rice and Marian for next year. We have some new and exciting math options available to these students.

8th-grade Dodgeball Thank you to the 8th-grade teachers Mrs. Carter, Mrs. Budiongan, and Mrs. Kurn, for organizing the annual dodgeball tournament. The tournament was won by the Kool-Aid Jammers comprised of Ryan Browne, Craig Cleary, Giuliano Denipoti and Joseph Yaldo. Most importantly it raised over $1300 for charity.

CYO The Girls 5/6th grade Softball team won both games on Friday against Holy Family. Defensively, Anastacia Wachowiak pitched a no-hitter w/9Ks; Natalie Stanczak (1st-time pitcher/new to the game) 3Ks ending the game with a Mercy in the 4th leaving 3 Holy Family players stranded. In the second game, a 3-run homer was hit and a key RBI from Molly O’Brien secured the win and Leila Mains (1st-time pitcher/new to the game) had 2 Ks. Great job to all of our softball, baseball and lacrosse teams thus far!
