PUBLIC ACTS 342 AND 343, otherwise known as Concussion Law, went into effect June 30, 2013. In summary, the law requires schools to educate, train, and collect forms for non-Michigan High School Athletic Association activities which include physical education classes and CYO sports. One form will be sent home for each student. Please review the information, complete and return the Concussion Awareness form as soon as possible. It is important to know that if your child is diagnosed with a concussion, he/she must bring a written note from his/her physician stating that they have been diagnosed with a concussion. Your child will not be permitted to resume activities (i.e. physical education, CYO sports) until we receive a second written note from their physician indicating that it is safe for them to resume activities. If you have any questions on the Concussion Law, please contact the front office.
