  • October 3 – October 18 – IOWA Testing, please do not schedule appointments
  • Monday, October 10 – Deadline to register for winter sports, forms distributed to students in grades 5-8 and are available on the website
  • Wednesday, October 12 – No bus service
  • Friday, October 14 – Picture retake day
  • Friday, October 14 – deadline to order November lunches
  • Tuesday, October 18 – PTG meeting, 7:00pm, Library
  • October 20 OR 27 – Grade 2 and 8 parent only Sacrament meeting, 7:00pm-8:00pm, Church
  • Friday, October 28 – Deadline to order Pistons Night tickets

 

MANY THANKS TO the Teacher Appreciation Committee – Mrs. Kelley Priebe and Mrs. Rochelle Denipoti – and their team of bakers for providing a pie to all of the faculty and staff.  The delicious treat was enjoyed by all!

 

THE MOM2MOM SALE will be November 19 from 8:00am-12:30pm.  Tables are available to sell gently used children’s clothing and toys.  For more information on selling please email sthugomom2mom@gmail.com.

 

THE LADIES OF THE ST. HUGO ALTAR GUILD invite you for an evening of dining, boutique shopping, raffles and socializing at their Starry Night at the Razzle Dazzle Club.  The event takes place on Wednesday, October 19 from 6:00pm-9:00pm at Oakland Hills Country Club.

 

TRUNK OR TREAT  Mark your calendars for Friday October 28 from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Sign up forms will be coming home soon. This is a first come, first served family-fun event and sells out quickly. We will be going back to our traditional set up of one parking lot! New this year; a Food Truck Rally! No need to worry about dinner. You can purchase dinner at the event at these delicious gourmet food trucks! More information to come so stay tuned! Aside from family friendly costumes we are requesting NO CLOWN costumes this year.  We will be providing additional security as well.

BROTHER RICE HIGH SCHOOL is inviting 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students to their Catholic Schools Night at their Varsity football homecoming game on Friday, October 14.  Represent St. Hugo and get in free by wearing Viking spirit wear.  Visit the Brother Rice table just outside the entry gate to receive a free ticket per student and one parent.  The first 50 students get a free t-shirt.  Brother Rice will be playing Traverse City Central at Hurley Field (3205 Catalpa Road – 11 ½ Mile Road – between Greenfield and Coolidge, Berkley).  Kick-off is 7:00pm.

PRINCIPAL’S CORNER

Congrats to the September Students of the Month!  They are Junior Kindergarten-Isadora Alvelo-Malina, Kindergarten-Thomas Rudnick, 1st grade-Hudson Kindt, 2nd grade Meghan MacMichael, 3rd grade-Jamie Thomas, 4th grade-Lacari Simpson, 5th grade-Molly O’Brien, 6th grade-Blake Bluthardt, 7th grade-Zach Olah, 8th grade-Ashley Dixon, Art-Audrey Love and Meghan Ferrara, Music-Mia Mojares and Ashley Dixon.

 

St. Hugo Alumni Max Schwegman is a junior at Princeton.  Max runs the 400 meter on the track team while majoring in Mechanical Engineering.  I have been very impressed by all of the successful St. Hugo Alumnus!
