A special thank you to Holly Mustion for organizing and being our trip coordinator. Also, a special thank you to Anna Bitzinger for assisting with the trip. It was awesome to have the art teacher help and chaperone. Also, thank you to Gracie Calvaneso for getting the Glee students prepared for the performance.

Conferences

It was nice to see so many of you at conferences this past Thursday and Friday. I was very happy to see the positive exchange between parents and teachers. I believe we are off to a good start after the first quarter. Please stay in contact with your teachers and view Power School frequently as we move into the second quarter.

Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair was really well organized. Thank you Mrs. DeFrancesco, Mrs. Thomas, Mrs. Belkin and several other wonderful volunteers. I was impressed as students were thrilled to be looking at some of their favorite books in hopes that that they would get some new reading material. The library was a popular hangout area for all during conferences.

Band Trip

Everyone who went on the band trip to Chicago had a wonderful time! Thank you to Mr. Pacifico and Ms. Bitzinger for chaperoning the trip. Students played with many other schools at the Field Museum. Mr. Pacifico felt like it was an outstanding way to get extra band practice and a memorable experience for his students. Great job to the St. Hugo band!
