SAFETY NOTICES

  • Police presence in the parking lot is nothing to be concerned with; the Bloomfield Hills Public Safety Department is making a more physical presence at all schools in the city. Please do not be worried but rather be grateful for their concern for the safety of our children.
  • Please exit down the hill onto Opdyke Rd. after school. You are asked not to use the driveway alongside of the school where the buses are loading students! That driveway is closed to cars until the last bus has been loaded and has left the school property.

COMING SOON: On April 16, our 5th and 6th graders will be going on a “religious field trip” right here at St. Hugo Church! On April 17, our 7th and 8th graders will be attending. The program is “The Cross and the Light” a concert experience which is a journey through Christ’s Passion to Pentecost. We are privileged to be hosting this beautiful program. The cost is $10 per student. Please send the money to your child’s teacher by March 31 so we can purchase tickets before our Easter vacation.

CONGRATULATIONS to the following students who were honored at the Science and Engineering Fair of Metro Detroit: Christopher VanDieren won 1st place in his division! Kathryn West & Meriam Atisha won a blue ribbon as did Max Petrosky! We are very proud of these future engineer/scientists!

PJAMMIN DAY is coming again this year. It will be on Wednesday, April1 (no fooling!) and students in grades K-1-2 may come to school in their jammies that day. Grades 3-8 may wear sweats or jeans. $1 is the cost for this privilege. All funds will be sent to American Childhood Cancer Organization. Thank you for your support of this worthwhile project!

REGISTRATION FORMS AND FEES are due by March 31, 2015. Remember current families who send this in forms & the $300 fee by the deadline will be entered into a drawing for a $500 prize! The fee will be raised to $350 for applications received after May 1. We need to know confirmed numbers to complete the 2015-2016 budget. Thank you and good luck!

COUNSELORS from Bloomfield Hills High School will be here on April 14 to set up classes for students who will or may be attending their school in the fall. If there is a possibility that your eighth grader may be attending BHS, please contact Ann Bartoli, Ann.Bartoli@sthugoschool.org before April 1.
