DO SOME GOOD! In memory of St. Hugo Alum, Alex Thoresen, who passed away after a battle with cancer, we will be collecting toiletries (travel size deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc) to be donated to the Ladies of Charity. While Alex greatly appreciated that family and friends kept him in their thoughts and prayers, his greatest wish was for those around him to perform an act of kindness for a stranger – to spread a little love on his behalf to make him feel better during his challenging time. Please consider making a donation in Alex’s memory. Donations will be accepted in the office through May 24. Thank you for your consideration!

WANT TO GET INVOLVED with your child’s class? Join the Room Parent Program! Room parents are needed for the 2018-2019 school year. Each class will have two Room Parents who will work with teachers to help facilitate occasional class events, oversee special projects and procure classroom donations. This is a wonderful chance to help out in your child’s classroom! If you are interested in being a Room Parent for your child’s grade, please email Heather Koziarz, email@example.com, and include the grade that interests you.
BE A LEADER! BE A BUDDY for a new student! Volunteer families are needed for the 2018-2019 Buddy Program. Our Buddy Program is the wonderful way St. Hugo welcomes new students. As a Buddy, your child will be paired up with a new student to help ease the transition into our school. This is an excellent opportunity for children to demonstrate leadership and school spirit. If you are interested in being a Buddy family, please email Erica Thurman, Erica.firstname.lastname@example.org and include the grade of your volunteer buddy.

THE ST. HUGO ALTAR GUILD is hosting their 49th annual rummage sale! This parish service event benefits many local charities and St. Hugo School. Your donations of time, talent and treasure help fill the school with a wonderful variety of treasures and make the Rummage Sale successful every year. Donation drop-off and set-up will be June 15-19. The Rummage Sale will be June 20-22, and clean-up is June 22-23. Many volunteers – moms, dads, students, grandparents, and families – are needed! Students may earn Christian/Community Service hours (for high school too)! Come meet and work with great people and join the fun! Information for adult and student volunteers can be found on the parish website, sthugo.org/rummagesale. Thank you for any past help and any help you can provide for the 2018 sale!
USED UNIFORM SALE We will be accepting donations of clean, gently used jumpers, skirts, boys dress shirts, pants, ties, and uniform fleece jackets (sorry, no boys polo shirts or gym uniforms) for our used uniform sale on Tuesday, June 5 from 8:30am-10:30am. All items will be $5 and proceeds will go to the St. Hugo Tuition Angels Fund. If you are donating your student’s skirt/jumper/shirt/tie/pants, they are expected to come to school in clothes that would be appropriate for church the remainder of the year. Donations will only be accepted on Friday, June 1 and Monday, June 4. No donations accepted the day of the sale!
